Al Gomhuria was established in 1954 following the Egyptian revolution and became the new regime's leading media outlet. The paper was published using the facilities of Wafd party's newspaper Al Mısri, which had been disestablished by the regime.
Daily News Egypt (DNE) is an English-language daily Egyptian newspaper established in 2005 and relaunched in June 2012. Under former owner Egyptian Media Services, it was distributed with the International Herald Tribune as a supplement. According to its website, the paper carries “business, political and cultural news and analysis”. The newspaper has claimed to be independent and not subject to government censorship.
Egypt Independent is an Egyptian newspaper that publishes a website and formerly published a weekly 24-page English-language newspaper that had evolved from the English edition of Al-Masry Al-Youm.
The Egyptian Gazette is an English-language Egyptian daily, part of the Al Gomhuria group of news publications. First published on 26 January 1880, it is the oldest English-language newspaper in the Middle East. It is politically nationalistic and secular.
